Valmont, CO · 7 sites · Tents, RVs
Welcome to our charming 2-acre meadow nestled in East Boulder. Just minutes from town - near bike trails, shops and restaurants. A great pitstop on your way to or from the mountains - or base camp for the adventures in Front Range. We aren't fancy, but we are convenient, cozy and safe. Gate code will be provided 48 hours before arrival.
We have spots in the wide open meadow for Tents, Motorhomes, Vans, Trailers, and Rooftop setups. The grounds are a bit sloped but we've got leveling boards (please leave them behind).
We've got Boulder's best eggs (help yourself up at the coop), a few walking paths through tall wild grasses, a campfire ring, solar shower, small sink, gas grill, and a lovely porta-jon that’s cleaned weekly.
We can handle RVs up to 45 feet - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep gravel ramp to get in and out.
We have a community fire pit with free burn wood, though the big logs are few and far between; your own firewood is recommended - as well as an ax or saw. If it's windy, please skip the fire... the BFD is very strict about this!!
We have well water feeding a solar shower (only hot when the sun shines) and sink (non potable unless you have a filter).
We have a wading / dog pool continually refreshed from the creek. It’s a saving grace in the summertime. 8/29/26- creek is all dried up, pool is out of commission.
Well behaved dogs under voice control are welcome off-leash. If you find your dog to be problematic, please keep them on-leash. The chickens free range during the day, so please mind your dog. There is a 3-figure dead or injured chicken fee.
THE GOOD:
*Easy in and out location close to town
*Lots of sun
*Outdoor solar shower
*Cold creek water plunge pool
*Fresh eggs
*Good view of small airplanes
*Community fire pit
*Gas grill
THE BAD:
*Daytime road noise
*Small airport nearby
*No Generators - no exceptions
*Almost zero shade
*Shower only hot when the sun shines
*Pool is fed from a creek
*Good Morning Rooster \* No access to the pond on adjacent property
Please reach out with any questions you may have.
Safe travels!
Sincerely,
Brooke and Patrick

The home has had major remodels done on it.
The lake is an old gravel pit to make road base for local road construction.
The buoys in the lake are scuba projects from the local college CMU, and hold lots of fish. Other nesting platforms are for our local Geese and they hatch out in April-June.
We airbnb 2 rooms in our home as a shared facility and have airbnbs in Northern Ca and Baja.
Our home is off limits for campers as we need to respect the space for our other airbnb guests.
But in an emergence please call, cell service works fine.
port-a potty is gone for the winter November-April.
port-a potty is clean and works great, May- Oct. If you are here in the winter you may use the trees or Mavericks gas station in 1.5 miles away.

Nederland, CO · 3 sites · Tents, RVs, Lodging
Welcome to Camp Wilder! We are an off-the-beaten-path camp offering peace and solitude. The cabin is very special to my family and me. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect. A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them. The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy. Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland. The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin. The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware. Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful. No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there. Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes. We are @ 10,000 feet and it is a slight hike to the cabin. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles When leaving please make sure both door locks are locked, put the key in the lock box and mix the code for the next camper.

"First time Hipcamper and A-Lodge visitor here, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re traveling to the Boulder area. The tent platforms were easy to get to and spaced far enough apart for privacy and generally a nice break from setting up a tent on a gravel pad. WiFi was stable throughout my visit and I was able to get some work done before heading home."

Weekend Trip to Serenity in the Foothills
We absolutely loved staying at Jeff’s site. It was private, very clean, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful trees — exactly the kind of place we were looking for. Access was easy and everything was well taken care of.
Jeff is an amazing host! We arrived later than the regular check-in hours, and he went out of his way to help us get settled without any issue. He was kind, polite, welcoming, and just an amazing dude all around.
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Jeff and his place!

Weekend Trip to Placer Camp
Tim was great at communicating through emails about his sites and questions I had about camping sites for tents verses a small camper like I was in a Teardrop. Also, about best ways to get there, where to park and current Fire Bans. He was friendly and social during my brief one night stay. He has a very cool home-base location, just outside of downtown Alma. It’s wooded and feels private. The sites are spaced apart and at slightly different elevations. He had Bell Tents set up for glamping with exceptionally clean spots with outdoor carpets, new picnic Tables, separate tables, large 3-5 gallon water jugs filled for you, perfectly cut and stacked wood piles, that added to the charm. You can rent a small propane fire pit from him for $12 a night. They were all there on site. In case of a fire ban (like we had this year) this still gives you that feel and warmth of a camp fire.
My map app took me right to his property! That was great rollling in as it was getting dark.
His girlfriend greeted me at arrival and was very friendly and we chatted a lot, which made me feel very comfortable on my very first solo camping experience. And first Hipcamp experience! When I arrived he had a communal fire going and us 5 campers enjoyed that, as the stars made an appearance. And they are seen extremely well from his property since it away from any city lights.
Overall Tim and his Girlfriend set the bar for all my future Hipcamp experiences to come!

Super cool, the side we had felt isolated and nice, the area is much wetter than we planned for but we're like on the shore of the river so made sense

Weekend Trip to People of the Honey
Leaf’s land was beautiful and peaceful! My husband, dog and I booked very last minute (about 30 mins before arrival) and our host was so welcoming. There was enough space to have privacy but communal space to connect with others. We tent camped this time, and want to try out the teepee next!

Beautiful views from site 5. Lots site options for tent. Full moon we watched rising and same chair position-sunrise in the morning! Lots of deer, chatted with other campers. My third time here, bringing others each time!
