Paulina Acre is located in the Newberry Estates development, NE of La Pine and about 30 minutes south of Bend. Our development is surrounded by BLM, national forest, and a wildlife preserve. It's about 10 minutes from town and 20 minutes to the Newberry Caldera natural area (Paulina and East Lakes). Gordy's truck stop is located just a couple of miles down the road for ice and other necessities.
I love small and unique spaces! I am remodeling a 375 sq/ft post WWII shotgun style cottage and am currently living in my 200 sq/ft tiny house on wheels that I built in 2016.
Please excuse my mess as I have a lot of big dreams for my property and many ongoing projects.

This is a camping accomodation in an RV that is onsite at our property. You cannot drive it off the property, it remains here at all times. Just bring yourselves and your food and belongings! This 30 foot RV has a queen size bed, seating and dining area, small kitchen space, shower, toilet, refrigerator and electric, wifi and water hookups. Septic dumps are our problem, not yours. Enjoy a fun getaway near Bend for a reasonable price. Up to two dogs allowed.
Historic farm property with standing structures from the early 1900's including the schoolhouse in our driveway and smokehouse at the very back of the lot. Our neighbor across the street grows 30 acres of the best alfalfa around, and we also have ranchers nearby raising sheep, top quality cattle, horses, pygmy goats, rehabilitated former race horses and even peacocks!
Great Bend proximate camping is hard to find. We offer a safe, secure place to camp 10 minutes outside of town with a beautiful farm pond to enjoy in the backyard. We were so honored to be named one of Oregon's top rated HipCamp sites in 2020 and 2021! Thank you! We have taken a break from hosting the last few years and are happy to be back with this new option.

You are welcome and encouraged to explore our property and enjoy all of its peaceful tranquility, including two beautiful ponds. You can walk your dogs without leaving the premises.

We ask that you never bring a pet with you who might harm one of ours. There are also wild animals here like deer, hawks, quail, coyotes, porcupines, rockchucks, owls and more.
If you have a question about our site, please message me and I'm sure to answer with a prompt response, unless it's between 8pm and 7am Pacific.
Thanks for your interest and happy camping!

I am going to be in early this year because of the lack of snow. I am going in March 22nd. I have taken the block off of the Gers and the camp sites.
8 campsites and 2 original Mongolian Gers.
The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to end of Sept and the Gers for 2025/2026 winter are blocked out from Nov 15/25 to May 15/26.
Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. Now up until this year I have provided Free Firewood. I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now.
I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like them running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake.. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no pain in the butts.
Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice?
No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. If you need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ.
What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”.
Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen.
I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven.
Then there is the silence.
The best part of “Heaven”.

We relocated to Redmond and LOVE being here! It has allowed us the opportunity to enjoy everything Central Oregon has to offer and we hope you too can experience and enjoy it as much as we do. It's all about making memories. It's also perfect for Fall/Winter fun and avoiding the summer crowds. Simply stay on our 5 acre property with complete hook ups if you're looking to avoid the bustle of downtown and it's hotel prices!
Our property is about 5 acres and tent spots are first come first serve with about 1 acre being closer to our house with shady grassy areas. The other 4 acres are in the pasture and mostly unshaded.
Pitch a tent out in the pasture, near the canal that runs through the property. We are a perfect location to the fairgrounds for the Farewell Festival/Rise Up Reggae Festival and all Bend festivals throughout the year. We are 4 miles to the festival sights in Redmond and 20 min to Bend. Ask about our shuttle rides to and from the festivities so just enjoy the ride, enjoy the show and come home for a relaxing evening under the stars.
If coming fortheRise Up Festival we offer the purchase of a weekend shuttle pass to and from the fairgrounds so you can enjoy your time and not spend it stuck trying to get out of the parking lot!!
If you are bringing an RV or trailer we have hookups for electric (first come basis).
We are close to Bachelor for skiing, Smith Rock for hiking, Sisters for shopping, too many lakes to name and 20mins to all Bend has to offer and so much more!

Welcome to our family's Private Campground - The Desert Rose. A boondocking site for you and your family to enjoy!
We have a Yurt, a cabin, 3 RV/Travel trailer pads and 2 tent sites created here and plenty of room for everyone to have their own space yet be all together. You can book the entire campground, or just one of the units. Whether it's just you, or you're bringing a crew, we know you'll love it here! Our favorite hikes in the Central Oregon area is Smith Rocks and Chimney Rock. The Prineville reservoir is roughly a 12 minute drive and the starry nights here are something to behold.
Up the road is the most unique petting zoo that we recently found! Find it and you might just be able to hold a baby kangaroo!
Boondocking site means there is no hook-ups or running water so you'll want to bring in your own water and heat if you're here in the colder months.
Your four legged furry family members are welcomed! They must be accompanied at all times and not left on the property alone. The dog run is for you to keep closer tabs on them while relaxing, not for leaving them while going into town or enjoying the area. The dirt is very soft and it wouldn't take very long for them to dig under to get out and go looking for you. The cabin or yurt is also not a pet storage area - with no power or AC, pets are not allowed to be left alone in the dwellings.

We really enjoyed our stay! The property is beautiful with amazing views. Nothing better than waking up with the perfect view of the sunrise. It was exactly as pictured, clean and comfortable. Close distance to downtown, and to Bend. Colby and April are great hosts, and I highly recommend staying here.

1 night at Shelter at Castle Rock Farm🏕️🚐
What a welcoming little spot! From the covered structure keeping the entire camp site dry in the rain, the total privacy, the kitchen area water spout and the illuminated camp site - the place was PERFECT! My husband is 6’4” and could stand up in the tent (the tent even has built-in lighting). Super easy to find.
We had a dog who also loved it (there’s a leash, dog bags & even a secure spot to secure your pup if needed). Great stove set up and kitchen area (we made salmon for dinner & lemon ricotta pancakes in the morning). Lots a nice welcoming touches including walking sticks and homemade coasters as gifts. Would 100% come back for another stay at this site!

Weekend Trip to Experience Heaven
Loved the Ger, and David even ensured it was warm upon our arrival on a chilly afternoon. Great hospitality. This land is not only peaceful, we were one of two couples there at the time so it was extra quiet. While we weren't able to stay more than a night, we took long walks on the property with our dog along the lake; and hope to come back again.

Weekend Trip to log shelter retreat
We were fortunate to be warmly welcomed by Julie and Clay!! Amazing property with everything you need to enjoy outside and stay comfortable inside! We enjoyed using the very much cared for outside sink & personal outside bathroom. Everything is well lit! Our child loved all the children's books, space to ride his bike, toys, horseshoes game, & loft! The cabin was well kept, clean, functional and very well thought out (bottled water, coffee, paper towels, etc). No harsh cleaner smell- bonus! Gentle essential oil smell- loved it! They have soft sleeping pads available and bring your own bedding-- perfect set up! THANK YOU JULIE AND CLAY! We'd love to come back!!

Weekend Trip to Paulina Acre
The Perfect Basecamp! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This place is an absolute dream! Tucked away near stunning Paulina Lake inside the Newberry National Volcanic Monument, it offers the perfect mix of wilderness escape and city convenience. We were just a short, scenic drive away, close enough to grab amazing food but far enough to feel completely off-grid and peaceful.
The site felt private and serene, with great views all around. After a day of adventure, having a hot shower and comfortable bed was the perfect way to end the day.
Whether you're here for the outdoors vibes, this spot nails it. We're already planning our next trip!
Pros: Secluded, amazing scenery, great host.

Weekend Trip to Shelter at Castle Rock Farm🏕️🚐
Enjoyed camping here for two nights despite a pretty constant rain 😅 Really appreciated the roof, the deck, the hammock and all of the string lights. Felt very secluded. Close to the road, but there seemed to be only about three cars going by per day.

4 nights at Blue Hour Acres
We throughly enjoyed staying here! The lotus belle was so cozy and the farm animals made us feel right at home. Lisa was very communicative and helped us feel comfortable when we had questions. The sauna, cold plunge, outdoor shower combo was out of this world😍 would definitely come back and visit again!

Weekend Trip to Shelter at Castle Rock Farm🏕️🚐
Richard was communicative and helpful, and the space he and his father have created is just perfect. The land was spectacular, the amenities were exactly what we needed, and the campsite felt cozy and spacious at the same time. Jean and his sweet dogs were so incredibly kind and welcoming. He invited our entire family (including the group's 6 kids) to explore the garden and property and gave us helpful local hints. We feel so lucky to have found this spot and will definitely be back.

3 nights at Shelter at Castle Rock Farm🏕️🚐
The Big Maple Campsite Site at Shelter at Castle Rock Farm was a wonderful camping experience. Richard‘s property is quiet, peaceful, and removed enough that you feel like you‘re staying in your own slice of paradise. Between the comfortable tent set up, hammocks, and surrounding meadows, there are plenty of places to relax.
The site leaves you immersed in nature with abundant wildlife, and is also just a quick drive from any convenience/staples you might need (as well as some great hiking trails). The outdoor camp kitchen makes cooking and clean up simple.
Richard was friendly, informative, and made sure we had what we needed. He was even kind enough to share some fresh produce from his garden. Daisy, his pup, was friendly as well:) He has thought of many of the extras you might need, leaving really just the essentials to pack.
We will definitely be back to enjoy this space again!

Weekend Trip to Old Bend River Farmhouse
Sam's camper was adorable and just what we needed for our one-night stay! The bed was so comfortable and the dining/game area setup was perfect for the two of us. We very much appreciated the camper being within walking distance of the river, the Old Mill District, and the Amphitheater, and we would definitely stay again the next time we're in town for a concert. Thanks so much for sharing your space with us!
