Upon arrival you can park in the flat dirt driveway in front of the boat. The trail up to the cabin begins right there.
There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection. It also had Bluetooth capability.
Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. Our property features a shared, covered outdoor patio with a games court for corn hole, checkers, and bocce (checkers, boards and balls provided), gas fire pit, and a gas grill for those cooler nights. The patio is lighted with cafe lights.
One of the RV slips is covered, while the other is nestled under a charming burr oak tree. On-site, we also offer a rental cabin. The covered RV slip is equipped with 30 and 50 amps, the other hookup is 50 amp, both have their own water and clean out connections.
Both RV slips are on grass/dirt, and the entrance/exit is grass and dirt. *****IF IT RAINS heavily while you are here, please use the paved driveway to exit the property as you may get stuck in the grass at the big double gate.*****
Our property uses rain water recapture. Please conserve water when you can when cooking, washing up and cleaning. No washing of cars or RVs is allowed.
Please note that there might be other guests staying on the property during your visit. Kindly be considerate of noise levels and how it may impact the experience of fellow guests. You may also be sharing amenities such as the grill, deck, outdoor kitchen, and games court.
We welcome dogs, but it is your responsibility to manage their interactions with other guests' pets. Due to potential gaps or larger openings in the fencing, we recommend keeping your dog on a leash.
The owners live on the far side of the property. The rest of the property is left natural for wildlife, so expect uneven terrain, tall grasses, and yes sometimes scorpions, spiders and snakes along with deer, armadillo, wild turkeys, and lots of songbirds.

The tiny trailer is adorable and full of gorgeous natural light and rainbows. We even have an above ground pool that we fill for the long summers, but I must admit that pool maintenance can be a bit complicated. So no promises!

Weekend Trip to Urban Hideout
Stayed at this property for a girls weekend! we were absolutely obsessed with the outdoor shower. picnic table was nice to hang out in the morning before it got too hot. AC worked great inside and the bed was really comfy. we loved our weekend so much. we had no problem walking to bars/food on the east side but we are avid walkers, might be far for anyone who isn’t.

Nice little cabin. Host was very accommodating. Outdoor shower was actually pretty cool. Its only 2 miles from Hidden Falls so a great alternative. There is also a river side park about a mile down the same street that is a very nice hangout spot.

Travis was really nice and very accommodating. My daughter and granddaughter wanted to go camping but I found this place and it was a nice balance. The AC worked well and the cabins were cozy. He has canoes and a paddle boat. We started a fire in the fire pit and sat around the fire talking. We will be returning.

We had a great time glamping at Daniel’s campsite! The AC came in clutch and so did the generous shade around the site. We would recommend some bug spray as the mosquitos were a bit aggressive in the mornings and evenings. 15 minutes to lampasas, 22 minutes to Colorado bend. We would stay here again.

Beautiful yard, I enjoyed exploring and we even got to climb the big tree! The cabin is clean and has lots of space to lie down and rest. Didn’t get to try the shower but it looks real charming. Going to the outhouse was also a neat experience. Brent came out to greet us when we first arrive, so we felt very welcomed!!

Wonderfully relaxing. It's a short drive from Austin, but you feel miles away. The minute we stepped foot on Travis's land, we felt calm and content. The blue loft was clean, fun, and funky. Kiddo took the loft bed since my creaky knees couldn't handle the ladder. The downstairs futon is good for sleeping, so we both had our own spaces. The AC was wonderfully cool which was necessary in the heat of the summer. Mornings and evenings were cool in the shade. It was nice to pick one of the various picnic spots scattered about to have breakfast tacos and coffee and in the morning. We brought our paddleboards, but it was much too windy to go on an adventure. Instead, we tied them up to the floating boathouse and and watched a few boats and jet skis having fun while rotating from swimming about to floating with the waves. The covered deck of the floating boathouse it so nice and shady and the perfect spot to get out of the sun for a bit. We had dinner at some of the awesome places that Travis recommended-- The Lighthouse on the Lake & Angel's Ice House. While out & about we got breakfast and snack supplies. All good. It was the perfect getaway!
