Our main house, 'La Casa de Joy,' is a stunning luxury straw bale villa (once featured on HGTV) that is truly the perfect gathering space for a variety of special occasions and memorable events. Originally built by an artist & healer, her creative intention and style is felt throughout the entire property.

Indulge you and your group by taking advantage of our on-site private yoga, massage, personal training, and facial services, and kayak, canoe, and stand-up paddle board rentals. Come stay in our sweet semi off grid cabin just between Austin and Marble Falls Tx. Near beautiful Lake Travis.
Upon arrival you can park in the flat dirt driveway in front of the boat. The trail up to the cabin begins right there.
There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection. It also had Bluetooth capability.
Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. Please reach out if you have any questions and we look forward to hosting you!

2 acres in the hill country in a small wooded neighborhood. I live in the brick house, have several garages and sheds, etc on property as well. There are also a few honey bee colonies scattered on the property. Open grassy areas as well as tree covered areas. This is a quiet neighborhood and wildlife is abundant. You may hear coyotes and a great horned owl at night. To the left of the main brick house there is a restroom with a toilet and a small kitchenette with sink and microwave, open 24hours. (Go up the steps to the door with the restroom sign) You will also find a self-serve "store shelf" with our honey and a few other goodies, with Venmo instructions.
There are 2 LONG RV spots up to 45 feet in length BUT, they are back in only and the turn around area is tight if you have a BIG RIG. The 2 camper van sites are (Site 1) 32' and (Site 2) 22'. Ask me if you want to know more!
It helps me to approve you more quickly if I know how tall/long your RV is. Especially if you are longer than 24 feet. You can text me info.
I have a place you can drive up to and get a water fill if you need extra water and you can release GREY WATER as needed to water the lawn. :)

Disappearing in the woods doesn’t have to be a bad thing.
We just prefer to call it forest bathing...
Imagine a place that makes you feel like your experience is the only thing that matters. A place that thinks of everything, so you have the space in your mind to explore what matter most to you. A place that inspires and provides the means to help you turn those ideas into something tangible. A place that imbues everything with purpose, including you.
Disconnect from distraction. Reconnect with yourself.
Choose your level of immersion with our unique shelters.
Villa? Geodesic dome? Whatever your preference, each shelter provides a dreamy cocoon to rest, reflect and recharge. They're outfitted with the luxuries you're used to and some you're not.
For us, off grid doesn't mean out of touch, at least not entirely. Remember phone booths? Walkies? You'll be just fine.
\\ Please note: Cell reception and wifi can be spotty. We're happy to point out the best "phone booth" spots for the former, and we are constantly working to improve the latter. We appreciate your patience as we perfect our little piece of the wild. That said, in the meantime, we do urge you to embrace the option to disconnect when possible. We've found it can be quite liberating to go missing for a little while :)

campround/farmette' about 2 acres (inside the city limits!), on a creek, kind of woodsy, and next to a pretty vast parkland greenbelt.
Recent flooding made quite a mess but it's still pleasant here.
Several friendly and permanent residents and farm animals.
Creek-side private campground hideaway available. This is a CAMPGROUND: NO RV, ROOM, BED, INVOLVED - BRING A TENT AND GEAR FOR COMFORT (check my other listings for an RV stay). This a "want to camp" campground and not a living solution. If you "need to camp" due to financial or other reasons, Camp EZ will likely not be a good fit for you. 6 nights maximum stay. Not suitable for very young children. Please include your child in your count. Campfires in designated area only with permission (burn ban sometimes). Bring firewood.
Community vibe 'round here; everyone is expected to be quiet and respectful of one another and clean up after themselves "leave no trace" style. Six night maximum stay.
Bring a tent and gear needed to be comfortable. 2 private hot outdoor showers, rustic kitchen and 2 charming flush restrooms included. Wood fired sauna available. Visitors are expected to clean up after themselves especially in the kitchen, showers, restroom and, of course, your campsite. Trash and recycle containers are around or, better yet, pack it out!
We are a 2 acre community on a secret and secluded little street 5 miles due South of the capitol of TX and even closer (2.5) to the very hip SoCo area (Continental Club, Jo's Coffee, Guero's Taco Bar, El Mercado and lots more). I have 3 cats, 11 chickens, 2 little donkeys and sweet 4 mini goats here at my little and funky 'farmette' right on Williamson Creek (sometimes flowing and not really swimmable) and next to a huge wooded greenbelt with a quiet and unused nature trail. This is not a KOA or a state park. This is a home hostel/campground. It's kind of rustic and we like it that way. You may see a roach, ant or cricket and you may also see a deer, fox or coyote. We are busy and not always able to visit for long. Lots of remodeling and flood related cleanup chaos here but also lots of pretty and secluded nature. Short walk to bus stop and historic Sagebrush HonkyTonk and Austin Bergstrom Airport is 9 easy highway miles away. Rustic outdoor shower/kitchen/privy. BYOTent. No wild or excessive partying here please and please remember: no smoking. WE NOW HAVE A COVERED PING-PONG PLAYING AREA !
Other details to note:
Street parking. Camping is a very short walk from parking lot. We have carts to tote your gear if needed. Sorry, this campground is not set up to be able to park next to your site. We do not supply towels, toiletries, tents or bedding.
Camp fire in designated fire pits only with approval. BYO Firewood. NO GENERATORS OR RECORDED MUSIC. Quiet time: 9PM-9AM. Please be mindful and respectful of your neighbors. -Jim O' (Did I mention rustic?)

Welcome to East Austin! My property is in walking distance to some real Austin gems including Palomino Coffee and Sahara Lounge. It is 8 minutes from downtown Austin and easy to bus from. The tiny trailer is adorable and full of gorgeous natural light and rainbows. We even have an above ground pool that we fill for the long summers, but I must admit that pool maintenance can be a bit complicated. So no promises!
*My buddy Geoff stays on the property and shares the yard amenities. He keeps to himself unless you can't get a hold of me and absolutely need something.
**When you apply to book, please give me a short note of why you are visiting and your specific needs. It just helps me prepare better for your stay. :)

McDonald Farm on the River
98%
(108)
27mi from Hudson Bend · 9 sites · Tents, RVs
McDonald Farm sits in the historic farming community of Jonah, TX between Georgetown and Taylor on scenic Highway 29. McDonald Farm is named after the patriarch of the family, J.H. Mcdonald, who first acquired the property in 1911. The farm sits on the bank of the San Gabriel River and features a lush canopy of huge pecan trees, sprawling corn fields, prairie, and forest.
We are a working farm! We primarily grow corn, but we also have livestock on the property. During daytime hours, you will likely see a variety of farm chores being completed. We offer a self-serve farm stand for our customers with fresh eggs, jelly and even pasture raised chicken - all produced on the farm.
We are only 7 miles from the Georgetown, TX historical district and square. Some say it’s the most beautiful town square in all of Texas. Enjoy shopping, dining, and festivals!
There is road noise. Highway 29 can be busy at times, despite being a two-lane road. Quiet hours are after 10 pm Sunday - Thursday and midnight Friday and Saturday.
Access to our river site is included in your camping fee. This secluded hike-to (~ 1-2 minute walk) site is peaceful with limestone cliff views and no visible homes or signs of civilization. The trail head is accessed by a dirt road that winds around our corn field and into the woods, and can be accessed by any vehicle in normal weather conditions. We will provide warning/refunds if the river road becomes 4x4 only. Fishing is allowed with a valid Texas fishing license. There is no overnight camping on the San Gabriel River. All camping is at the main farm area and campers are able to come and go from the river site as they please (day or night!).

Stayed at this property for a girls weekend! we were absolutely obsessed with the outdoor shower. picnic table was nice to hang out in the morning before it got too hot. AC worked great inside and the bed was really comfy. we loved our weekend so much. we had no problem walking to bars/food on the east side but we are avid walkers, might be far for anyone who isn’t.

Weekend Trip to Fishers Of Men Ranch
I loved camping at fishers of men. The host were very nice. They meet us at the gate and greeted us with treats. Communication was good. The grounds were quite and nitnfor from town. But we were the only ones there. If I had a con I would say the grass needed to be cut. But in their defense they allowed us to pick our spot and the site we picked the grass was a little higher. Other than that I would recommend camping at Fishers of Men.

Travis was really nice and very accommodating. My daughter and granddaughter wanted to go camping but I found this place and it was a nice balance. The AC worked well and the cabins were cozy. He has canoes and a paddle boat. We started a fire in the fire pit and sat around the fire talking. We will be returning.

The place is a GEM! we camped out under cover which made it easier with the heat plus there was electricity to charge phones and fans.
The coffe store is super cute and you get 2 free coffees per day. The rest you pay via cash app or leave cash.
Outdoor shower was so refreshing and with hot water, which with the Texas summer temp was not hardly needed.
The pool was nice and something different to do.
At night ypu can take advantage of the community fire surrounded by outdoor furniture. A nice place to paint, chat and have ur coffee.
You can use their grills and you can even buy charcoal at tbe store. I brought my own though.
Finally, the establishment is on the top of a hill and you get a soft breeze in the afternoon. I did a yoga session on Sat and it was envigorating.
I will visit again! I feel safe enough to even be by myself as a retreat place.
